Types of volunteer opportunities at AMWA-DVC
Ad Hoc Volunteer

Help with a specific task or small project for a short period of time.

Examples:

Check-in participants at an in-person event.

Edit or write an event summary or other story for the Delawriter.

Regular Volunteer

Coordinate specific chapter business activities or contribute to a committee or project for a few hours a month, preferably for at least 1 completed project/event or 1 year.

Examples: ​

Coordinate social media communications.

Work on the planning committee for the next Freelance Workshop or Princeton Forum.

Help manage the AMWA-DVC website.​

Assist with preparing email communications for the AMWA-DVC mailing list.

Committee or Program Chair

Lead a committee or project, preferably for at least 1 completed project/event or 1 year.

Live events are usually led by a pair of Co-Chairs.

Before taking on the role of Chair, you would have the opportunity to learn the ropes as a regular volunteer, shadowing the current committee Chair or Co-Chairs.
